Create a sustainable lifestyle or just come to shop and enjoy a Saturday morning with your family, friends and neighbors (and furry friends too) in beautiful, historic, downtown York. The 2010 season of the York Downtown Farmers & Artisans Market begins Saturday, April 17.
The market provides the community with fresh, seasonal, local and mountain grown fruits and vegetables, herbs, flowers, honey, and eggs.
As well as handmade crafts, candles, soap, leather goods, pottery, ... and SO MUCH MORE!
Every Saturday morning, the market will be transformed into a creative, educational, homey and lively community gathering place. The market is FREE to vendors and to the public. The market will feature live, local entertainment, an Earth Day celebration, "Ask a Master Gardner", "Wellness Day", Farm day (tractor show), Saturday Sock Hop (car show), "Ask a Chef" cooking demonstrations, bake sales, face painting, horse drawn carriage rides, and seasonal events.
Non-profits, scouts, and church groups are invited to participate with hot dog sales, bake sales, lemonade stand, etc. Local clubs, churches and businesses
are invited to have information booths as well.
The market is located at 53 N Congress St, open Saturdays from 8:00AM-NOON.
